Autumn/Winter Hair Trends – Melvin Lane [Mieka Hairdressing]

Autumn/Winter Hair Trends
Haircuts for the 2013 Autumn/Winter season are set to be short, geometric, sleek shapes embracing clean lines. Undercuts and layered cut-outs create movement and fluidity whilst maintaining unique linear shapes. Short fringes will also make on impact this season.

Pure shape with elegant timeless appeal showing the quintessential bob will continue to prevail, although rigid shapes will be left behind permitting versatility, length, volume and texture to become more predominant.

The reinvention of classic iconic looks will remerge this season; such as the 60s bob, the 70s afro and the 80s punk rock. The 50s quiff will rock out over all of them as the strongest trend.

Distorted textures enhance the finishing processes with clever twists, knots and looped ponytails providing a chic alternative for those seeking a new season up-do.

Embellished accessories such as fancy headbands, jeweled slides or hair clips, or head scarves and wraps provide an alternative option. Combine these with a very low slick side parting and you will be right on trend.
